Wed, 31 Aug 2011 15:29:00 -0700 "Let All Past Troubles be Forgot" (A Christian New Years Song) http://bcnn1.posterous.com/let-all-past-troubles-be-forgot-a-christian-n http://bcnn1.posterous.com/let-all-past-troubles-be-forgot-a-christian-n

Daniel Whyte III, who visited the grave of Robert Burns, the author of "Auld Lang Syne" in Scotland, was inspired to write a version of this song that contained Christian themes using the same tune last year. His daughter, Daniella, who is a poet, assisted him.

Not only does this song celebrate the coming of the New Year, but it encourages people to give thanks for years past, to forget the negative things of the past but learn from them, and to be grateful to God for His love, mercy, grace, salvation, and even the second coming of His Son, Jesus Christ, and challenges people to enter the New Year "ready to fight and persevere," and to do great things for the glory of God.

There are three versions of the song: a short play version (with lyrics), a long play version (with full lyrics), and a third version which is played to a more traditional musical rendition of "Auld Lang Syne". The Youtube videos for all three versions are below.
